Volunteer Serve. Connect. Make Change.

Every meal, every smile, every hour a volunteer spends at PorchLight helps build a stronger Eastside community grounded in compassion and respect.

Ways to Volunteer with PorchLight

  • Serve a Meal. Prepare and serve dinner at the Emergency Men’s Shelter.
  • Join the Green Team. Keep Eastgate Way clean and welcoming.
  • Support an Event. Help with the Light the Way Luncheon or seasonal drives.
  • Share Your Skills. Use your talents—gardening, photography, admin support, tech, etc.

Service begins with connection. When you volunteer, you walk alongside men rebuilding their lives. You offer dignity, understanding, and a sense of home.

Founded in 1993, PorchLight is a nonprofit organization helping unhoused men in East King County regain stability through safe shelter and comprehensive support that addresses health, housing, and self-sufficiency.

PorchLight recognizes that the ground we stand on is the traditional territory of the Coast Salish peoples. We honor their past and present connection to this land and are grateful for their stewardship, which continues to inspire our work creating spaces of safety, belonging, and renewal.
