2025 Outcomes
PorchLight helps unhoused men in East King County regain stability through safe shelter and comprehensive support that fosters health, housing, and lasting independence.
A Place to Stay
A Way to Give
A Chance to Serve
Hope In Motion
Outreach at PorchLight doesn’t wait for people to come to us. We go to them. Gerald Walker, our Outreach Lead, moves through encampments, parking lots, and city streets offering connection, care, and tangible help.
His steady presence bridges the gap between isolation and possibility, meeting men in moments of vulnerability with dignity and respect.
Our outreach efforts are focused on showing up, listening, and helping one person at a time take a step toward stability. Because before housing or healing comes trust, and trust begins with human connection.
If you see an individual in need of support or are concerned about a potential unauthorized encampment, please notify the City of Bellevue via the MyBellevue portal.
Built on Belief
PorchLight was built on the belief that community can end isolation. In 1993, a group of Eastside congregations came together to create the Rotating Shelters, offering meals, warmth, and welcome to men without homes.
Their shared belief in dignity and hope for every person became the foundation of all that followed. More than thirty years later, that belief still shapes our mission. The Rotating Shelter continues today, sustained by ten local faith organizations that open their doors to provide connection, safety, and belonging for men finding their way home.
