Supportive Services begin in our Day Center with an intake conversation, which helps our staff connect shelter guests to the right services and create a plan that reflects their individual path forward.

Case Management

Case Management provides coordinated, individualized planning for men working toward stable housing. Case Managers assess needs, develop action plans, and connect clients to internal services and external partners. This work focuses on reducing barriers, increasing service access, and supporting progress toward housing.

Behavioral Health

Behavioral Health services are integrated across our continuum of care to address mental and substance use needs. The Team provides assessment, individual services, and coordination with internal teams and community providers. Program leadership ensures alignment across shelter, outreach, and housing to reduce barriers and support long-term stability.

Housing Navigation

Housing Navigation supports men in securing stable housing. Staff assist with housing searches, applications, documentation, and coordination with landlords and partners, including opportunities to move into PorchLight housing when available. When appropriate, one-time financial assistance is used to remove barriers and support successful transitions into permanent housing.

Employment Navigation

Employment Navigation helps men prepare for and pursue employment that supports long-term stability. Staff provide individualized assistance with resumes, interview preparation, job searches, and skills assessment. This work focuses on identifying employment opportunities, addressing gaps, and supporting progress toward sustainable income and independence.

Founded in 1993, PorchLight is a nonprofit organization helping unhoused men in East King County regain stability through safe shelter and comprehensive support that addresses health, housing, and self-sufficiency.
