Impact Reports Message from Executive Director Troy Christensen

In 2025 uncertainty affected nearly every part of our work, from funding to staffing to the pace at which men could move forward. We housed fewer men than we hoped. We connected fewer men to employment than we intended. Funding cuts directly impacted those outcomes.

PorchLight did not step back. Our staff showed up day after day under pressure and kept their focus on safety, dignity, and trust. That commitment carried us through a challenging year.

Some days were heavy. We eliminated two staff positions to prepare for anticipated financial pressure in 2026. These decisions were difficult, but necessary to protect long-term stability and the men who rely on us.

Many of you gave quietly and consistently throughout the year. Those individual commitments formed the backbone of our stability in 2025.

Thank you for being part of a community that understands this meaningful work is rarely linear, and always worth doing.
