Welcome Home: New Facility Now Open

CFH Porchlight exteriorThanks to our amazing donors and supporters in the community, we are thrilled to announce that we have moved into our new home on Eastgate Avenue! It is a momentous occasion that marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for CFH, our clients, staff, volunteers, and donors. Everyone has worked so hard to make this transition possible, and we could not be more grateful.

This new space has filled us with a profound sense of joy and gratitude. Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to set up our new home and ensuring our clients are comfortable in their new surroundings. Our Rotating Shelter Case Manager, Allen Bolen, who has been with CFH for three years, described this move as a “comfortable chaos.” Bolen said, “This is a truly a great place to be, and coming over here has enabled us to finally see and utilize this amazing resource that we have been working towards for so long. I am just grateful to be here.”

Eric Thompson, our social worker who works directly with the clients, said, “It’s been a rocky journey, but I am very thankful to finally be in the new shelter and start working with all of the guys to help them get into the new routine of things. This brand-new shelter is the first of its kind. I love the layout. It’s going to help our clients in ways that we haven’t even figured out yet.”

Executive Director Troy Christensen added: “This is a significant milestone for CFH, and we could not be more excited about the journey ahead or more grateful to those (community partners, donors, staff, and volunteers) who did so much to make it possible. Because of them, the best is yet to come!”
